CHRISTIAN EDUCATION
Christian Education is an important part of our life together at Friendship. While we have many opportunities to study and learn together, Sunday School is one of our primary opportunities for learning and growing in the faith. Please see our Sunday School page for more details.
FAMILY NIGHT
Family Night is a Wednesday night ministry involving study, music, fellowship and fun for everyone - all ages. Please see our Family Night page for more details.

YOUTH MISSIONS:
A vital part of our youth ministry is our annual Youth Mission Trip. Each year we travel to another part of the country to serve the Lord by serving others. During the trip, we engage in an intentional Christian community as we study God's Word and enjoy site seeing attractions in the area.
Our previous trips have been to New York City (2001), Philadelphia (2002), Cincinnati (2003), Pittsburgh (2004), Baltimore (2005), Cleveland (2006) and Chicago (2007). We have served in soup kitchens, homeless shelters, daycares for low income families and led worship on the streets of the lower east side of Manhattan. ... See Map ...

PRESCHOOL
Friendship's Preschool is a Christian developmentally appropriate learning program for children ages 3 and 4. Our Curriculum is designed to meet the individual needs of each child. The Preschool seeks to enable children to develop an awareness of the world around them - others, self, and Jesus.
The Preschool is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. throughout the Alexander County school year. For additional information on the Preschool, please contact Lori Branch, Preschool Director at 632-1565.

The group offers young people the opportunity to hop into their faith in a community that shares their beliefs. Activities include servant opportunities, Bible studies and fun outings. Guest FROGs are always welcome!
YOUTH -- FLYs (Grades 6-12)
Friendship Lutheran Youth (FLYs) is a group for grades six (6) through twelve (12) which meets every Sunday at 5:00 p.m.
The group offers youth weekly opportunities to grow in their faith in a community where they can be themselves. Each month includes at least one servant opportunity, one Bible study and one fun activity. Friends are always welcome to join the group!!
SENIORSAt Friendship we believe that getting to know each other, having fun together, and building a sense of community are vital to our health and well being as children of God. Senior ministry works to provide opportunities for older adults to maintain existing friendships as well as establish new ones through various activities. These include:
Game Nights (cards, board games, munchies)
Day trips to historic and/or scenic places in North Carolina
Dinner and a play (or musical) at an area theatre

SOCIAL MINISTRYTaking our cue from the Old Testament prophets concern for the poor and Jesus' parable of the sheep and the goats in the 25th chapter of Matthew, the Social Ministry committee helps the people of Friendship address needs within and beyond the community. Currently this includes:
clothing drives and food drives for Christian Crisis Center of Alexander County
leading worship three times a year at the Alexander Correctional facility;
preparing and delivering holiday baskets to homebound;
overseeing a Helping Hands Fund designed to help people with financial needs.
TAPE MINISTRYFriendship currently provides DVDs of our Sunday worship services. The Stewardship committee oversees this ministry to people who are homebound or who are unable to attend public worship for a brief period of time due to illness or some other unforeseen circumstances. For more information, contact the Parish Office.
